Hello all,
I hate to turn this into a tech support question, but I am really desperate.
FSX is one of my all time favorites. I had it uninstalled from my laptop for quite some time to free up resources. Lately I had the urge to play again, so I decided to reinstall, but now there appears to be something wrong with the cd drive on my computer (it's a little aged), and it is not recognizing that there is even a CD inside.
This doesn't surprise me, since I use STEAM and haven't needed my CD drive in ages. The issue isn't isolated to my FSX DVD, as it seems I can no longer burn MP3s either.
I tried installing FSX using a homegroup and my wife's computer, but the Microsoft installer won't allow it. So does anybody have any other ideas how I might be able to install FSX? Any tricks? Is there a way that I could install it on my wife's computer and then transfer it over to my hard drive using an external?
Sorry if these questions are a bit naive. I am not an expert when it comes to computers. Thanks!
